Everybody's talking about Ptah Brown, who is emerging into the music scene like a lightening bolt cutting across several musical genres. Her present CD Release, entitled "More of Me To Love" is vibrating the airwaves in Blues, Jazz, and Gospel. Ptah's crossover style is one that most artists try to achieve.

Ptah, is multi-talented as a performer, vocalist,  songwriter, actress, and teacher. She generates a tremendous feeling of excitement with her smooth, penetrating, lyrical Alto-Soprano voice. Singing with passion, meaning and true expression, she dazzles her audiences.

Ptah's natural ability to bestow her fans with heartfelt feelings, and truly interpretive phrasing are so great, that they can't be described. Ptah is no newcomer to the music Industry. At the early age of four, she began singing in public, through various Churches and Religious organizations, such as; the "Young Folks' Choir" at the House of Prayer for All People in Harlem. Other Choirs that she sang with are "Saint Mark's Holiness Choir" in Brooklyn New York, the "Parkchester Baptist Church Choir" and "Saint Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church" in the Bronx, New York.

For Ptah, Gospel music was a segue into Blues, Soul, Jazz, Latin, Pop, Reggae, Calypso and Zydeco music. Ptah has performed with such notable artists as: George Clinton & The P-Funk (Parliament Funkadelicks- all stars)Lucky Peterson, Wilson Pickett, John Lee Hooker & JLH Jr., Pinetop Perkins, C.J. Chenier, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Kenny Neal, Buckwheat Zydeco, Henry Butler, Patti LaBelle, Ronnie & Eloise Laws,   Tito  Puente, Orchestra Broadway, Joe Cuba, Bob Marley's Wailers, Art Blakey, Rahsaan Roland Kirk, and Charlie Mingus. Ptah has also performed as a background for:           Aretha Franklin, Melba Moore, Peter Tosh, Marcia Griffith, Mighty Sparrow, Calypso Rose, and most recently, Don Covay's newest CD among others.

What better time is there for Ptah to be launching her own solo career than now!  She has performed all over the United States, in Europe (France: Paris, Orleans, Prague, Czech Republic; Italy, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal), Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and the Caribbean; in addition, as an invited guest at both the Embassy of Ghana, and the Embassy of Ethiopia. From the famed Apollo Theatre, to The Plaza Hotel in New York City, to Detroit, Chicago, Miami Beach, Cape Cod, Atlanta, San Juan, Antigua, Jamaica in The West Indies and other places far and wide, Ptah continues to charm audiences with her voice, her soul and her grace.

Ptah's voice defines the heartache of Blues and the hope of Gospel. As her voice continues to build in strength and range, she is revolutionizing the genres by breathing life into the music with her dazzling repertoire. The charismatic Ptah has enough energy to light up a small town.
